Which parts of the FORTITUDE program are specific to veterans and first responders?
Participants receive FORTITUDE-specific group therapy sessions, as well as personalized individual and family therapy sessions. Mealtimes, recreational activities like yoga, and free time are combined with civilians.
How long does the FORTITUDE program last?
The duration of stay differs for each client, considering their unique recovery needs, treatment level, progress, and additional factors. On average, residential clients typically stay for around 35 days.
Can I detox in the FORTITUDE program?
Yes, we offer onsite drug and alcohol detox at our facility, which serves as the first step toward recovery for the majority of our clients.
Can you enter FORTITUDE for mental health needs only?
For now, the FORTITUDE program can accept clients with a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions but not someone without an addiction. We are happy to refer these clients to a high-quality treatment partner that can meet their needs.
Will I room with other veterans or first responders?
We strive to room FORTITUDE participants together to the best of our ability. However, this cannot be guaranteed as we must meet state requirements for our levels of care. Each room has two beds.
Will my insurance cover the FORTITUDE program?
Many insurance companies provide coverage for a portion or all of the costs related to substance abuse treatment, including treatment within the FORTITUDE program. Our Recovery Advocates can help verify your insurance coverage. Veterans can request the support of a dedicated Veteran Advocate to navigate their VA health insurance.
Does the FORTITUDE program work with workers compensation claims?
Yes, in most cases. Our admissions department and outreach team are well-versed in navigating a variety of worker’s compensation cases, having successfully managed over 100 cases for clients.
